I was going to write a piece about advertising and marketing because that’s what this blog is about essentially.
But earlier today I received news that lately-made friend had passed away. Graeme was old school: charming, witty, a true gentleman. And he could dance a mean cha-cha. Unfortunately, his health didn’t always play ball and last night it finally caught up to him.
It’s a fast paced world we live in. And in a time where the words “relationship” and “value” are bandied about in such a cavalier manner, do we ever really take the time to realise that the only relationships that matter – the only ones that are truly valuable – are the ones that can never be summed up in a slogan or dissected in a creative rationale?
Time runs out faster than you think. Borrow a few minute from your busy schedule today to tell the really valuable people in your life how much they mean to you.
Blue skies, Graeme…you will be missed.
